The characters were made in CC, I thought PBR would be automatic. I think this happend, because your materials from the teeth and the eyelid are still in "traditional" format.
But Im new, so not sure what lights I had on, etc. I thought this king of problem would have not occured on regular obj. By tweaking some parameters I can remove them. If I enabled Reflection to the pbr texture of the mouth, i can set the amount of light in the teeth. You may have to go into the teeth, tongue and eyes (all separate parts) and play around there. If that doesn't work you can post a sample scene and let someone more experienced take a crack at fixing it. But let's assume for a moment it is the interpenetration - you can adjust the alpha threshold and/or shadow threshold settings on your character's head and other parts to fix this. You can also try turning off all lights except IBL and GI and see if that fixes things (I so rarely use anything other than IBL and GI nowadays I'm not even familiar with it otherwise). To confirm try turning off all the lights but a single spot, and move it down to the bottom of the character - if those artifacts then shift position or even disappear then it's almost surely that (it still might be that even if they don't, but that would be a dead giveaway). IIRC (and I may not) this was a bigger issue previous to 7.2 (or at least I haven't seen anyone mention it for quite some time). That's most likely caused by the lights themselves penetrating the head. What settings cause these unwanted effects? Thanks, Fred. I have try to change the angle of the lights, downgrade their power, but nothing change. AO is enabled, with 2 lights (key + rim). As you can see on the picture, there are some artefacts: some glossiness / white borders around the eyes and into the mouth. I changed the eyes with CC eyes and teeth with CC teeth. I've imported it in iClone (all my software are updated). Anyway, just wanted you to know that I enjoy your YouTube videos.
apparently that fixes the issue, but it is a long painful process. I already know what Reallusion is going to say: that I need to copy them from a computer where they are reading correctly and copy onto my work hard drive. What is weird is that about half DO work, and I can't figure out the pattern of when they will or won't. and then I had to do the same as you and install it manually anyway) anyway, suddenly, I can't use a large portion of my assets.
This was not a problem until I installed the Hub about 2-3 weeks ago (and I only did it then because it said that I HAD to in order to install v.7.22. Since installing the Hub, about 1/2 of the assets I have bought are now telling me that they are simply Trial assets and I need to buy them. My work version of iClone will not go through the Hub, because we have such strict firewall settings.
